Kali Fontanilla

Kali has been a certified spin instructor at 2 Steps Ahead for 2 years. Kali fell in love with Spin when she took a class in Italy while studying abroad 15 years ago. Even though the instructor was yelling at her in Italian and she didn’t understand a word he said, by the end of the class, she was drenched in sweat and had burned a massive amount of calories. After that she was hooked and she knew that someday she would be teaching spin too.

Kali has dedicated her life to teaching whether it be in her middle school classroom or at 2 Steps Ahead. She strives to inspire others to meet their potential and do their best. She has personally lost 65 pounds since High School and has kept it off with regular runs, teaching spin, and taking group fitness classes at 2 Steps Ahead. She knows it takes hard work to meet your fitness goals, but the reward is great! When not teaching, she enjoys spending time in nature, making music, baking healthy desserts, and eating them!

As a Spinning and Group Fitness trainer, Chris enjoys creating classes that pushes members to new limits, all while motivating and inspiring them with his witty sense of humor. He grades his classes on the number of high-fives he receives. The more challenging the class, the more high-fives!

Chris has been active in baseball since he was a child and has been coaching for the past 15+ years. Even after his son graduated from Salinas High School, you can still find Chris on the coaching staff and giving back to the team he played for back in the day!

When Chris is away from the gym, he can be found competing in the Spartan Race circuits up and down the west coast. He has countless trifectas to his name and just keeps collecting medals. Chris enjoys spending his time with his family, hiking throughout Monterey County and long road trips.

Megan Enochs

Megan Enochs

Megan has been a spin instructor since she first moved to the Peninsula in 2008. Prior to 2008, she was a student in spin classes in Chico, CA and also rode outdoors. Her first teaching gig was at Chamisal Tennis & Fitness club and then a friend dragged her into 2SA to try F.I.T. One thing led to another and eventually she began teaching spin at 2SA as well. Megan’s favorite part about teaching is helping people enjoy exercise and motivating them to push themselves in each class. She swears if you can get past the first few spin classes, you’ll be hooked!

Growing up, Megan ran track, played volleyball, soccer, and also danced. Today, with two small children, Megan regrettably spends less time in the gym and more time chasing her kids outside and prides herself on still being strong enough to pick them both up at the same time. She loves to run, spend time at the beach, and looks forward to running a Spartan race…someday.

Kurt Jensen

Kurt Jensen

Kurt became a Spinning Certified trainer in June of 2011 because he wanted to learn more about indoor cycling and expose himself to methods taught by the top instructors in the indoor cycling arena. He believed that if he could learn as much as possible about the sport, he could maximize his own workouts and the health benefits from his time in the gym.

Kurt began training at 2 Steps Ahead because he saw training others as an opportunity to help members set and reach their fitness goals. He thoroughly enjoys helping others and he feels there is nothing more satisfying than watching a first-time member walk into the gym and over time, watch as they transform their mind, body and life!

As a child, Kurt was very active and played football, baseball (his all-time favorite), rode bikes, skateboarded and spent as much time as he could in water sports. Today, Kurt uses his fitness to stay young and healthy to keep up with his son, Shane. When Kurt is not training at 2SA, you can find him in the motorsports circuit, wakeboarding on the lake, mountain biking with friends or completing his Spartan race trifecta!

At the end of any of Amanda’s classes you can bet on getting health and nutrition tips  but one thing you can count on is she always has the music pumping.

Sarah Wolfe

Sarah Wolfe

Hi, my name is Sarah Wolfe and am proud to be a part of the 2 Steps Ahead team! I am a local resident, born and raised here in Monterey County and a mother to a toddler who keeps me on my toes and is a big part of why I have chosen to live a healthy active lifestyle! I began my fitness journey just over 8 years ago and have had many hick-ups along the way. A little over a year ago, I decided that I wanted to be in depth with the fitness revolution. I began taking courses and classes to educate myself on the body’s anatomy and the different approaches to train muscle groups and learn all the components that go along with training it! Health and fitness is a lifestyle and it is my passion to help others on their fitness journey to achieve their goals! That is how I landed myself here at 2 Steps Ahead and I am so grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to the many successes ahead! Be Better, Get Stronger, Have Fun!
